Experience

Nicole Grinstein graduated with a specialization in Critical Race Studies from UCLA School of Law in 2017. There, she served as a Managing Editor for the UCLA Women’s Law Journal and co-chair of the UCLA Labor and Economic Justice Clinic. During law school, Nicole worked as a law clerk for the Wage Justice Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating wage theft across Los Angeles County, as well as at the UCLA Labor Center, where her legal research and legislative analysis demonstrated how discrepancies between California’s regulation of taxicab operators and novel app-based ridesharing companies resulted in an unfair competitive advantage for app-based transportation services in Los Angeles County. Prior to joining Gilbert & Sackman, Nicole worked as an attorney for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where she helped low-income and formerly incarcerated clients remove legal barriers to employment.
